Your Council in Focus
The Council has reviewed its Housing Allocation Policy and welcomes comments from people currently registered on the Tunbridge Wells Joint Housing Register and anyone else with an interest. The 12 week consultation period ends Friday 25 July 2008.
Friday 2 May:
Following yesterday's election, the Conservative Party has retained control in Tunbridge Wells. The political balance is now 44 Conservatives and 4 Liberal Democrats.
Tunbridge Wells Borough Council has developed the draft Air Quality Action Plan. This is the culmination of the second round of local air quality review and assessment for Tunbridge Wells Borough Council. It follows the declaration of the Air Quality Management Area (AQMA) in November 2005. Consultation deadline 30 May 2008.
Thursday 17 April:
‘The Council has taken a robust approach to improving its own performance and processes and has responded well to external assessment and challenge.' That is the conclusion of Tunbridge Wells Borough Council’s latest Annual Audit and Inspection Letter from the independent local government watchdog the Audit Commission.
Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 April:
Talking ticket machines have been installed in the Great Hall Car Park in Royal Tunbridge Wells to remind people to remove all valuables and personal items before they leave their cars.
