Council

Meetings
Partial service
16/4/2020

Government regulations have been changed to allow meetings to be held in different ways during the coronavirus outbreak. The Council has only held meetings if they absolutely cannot be deferred and this is usually because certain decisions have to be taken. Before any meetings went ahead all the political parties were consulted about how the meetings might be held.

There is not a reliable technical solution for us to be able to conduct a virtual meeting and publicly broadcast it live.

Attendance at meetings that have taken place in the town hall has been reduced to an absolute minimum and those who have attended meetings followed social distancing guidelines very closely. No restrictions have been broken.
