Accident Investigations Privacy Notice
Details of what information we collect from you, what we do with it and who it might be shared with.
We collect your name and address. Sometimes we collect other information you may feel is sensitive to you such as your age and health information.
We collect this information to investigate the causes of accidents to people at work, or affected by work activities in the borough. We are required by law to provide this service. In order for us to do this, you must provide your personal information to us.
- Maidstone Borough Council stores your information on our behalf. You can view their privacy information on their website.
- The Health & Safety Executive will also use your information. They may use it for their own reasons that are different to ours, but they still have to look after it in the same way. You can view their privacy information on their website.
- We will also share your information with other services within Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, to improve services and ensure best value for residents of the borough.
We will only keep your information for as long as we need it. Once we no longer need it, we will retain it for a set period (a retention period) but not use it. When the retention period expires we will delete your information from our records. Further details can be found in our Retention Schedule.
