Certificate of Existence

A Certificate of Existence, also known as a Proof of Life, Certificate of Life, or Letter of Existence, is an official document confirming that an individual is alive. It is often required by governments, pension providers, or insurance companies to continue payments.

The fee for this service is £25 and is payable at the time of presentation.

Terms and conditions

To enable us to confirm your existence please read the terms and conditions below.

• You must appear in person at the address below and ask for Proof of Existence.
• If you require us to confirm your partner/spouse is alive, they must appear in person and must provide a valid ID such as a passport.
• A valid passport or driving licence must be provided which matches the name on the confirmation of existence form.
• Your name and address must match those on the confirmation of existence form. You will need to provide paper-based proof of address from one of the following:
  • valid Council Tax statement (dated within last 12 months.
  • bank statement (dated within last month)
  • utility bill (dated within last 3 months)
• The confirmation of existence form you wish us to sign must contain an official English translation if required.
• If any of the above is not provided, we will be unable to confirm your existence and other arrangements will need to be made. A refund will not be given.
• The service is available daily.

Once we have seen the evidence and you in person, we will be able to sign and stamp your document.
