This Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how Tunbridge Wells Borough Council will involve the community in the preparation and review of planning policy for the borough, through the Local Plan and Supplementary Planning Documents, and in decision making on planning applications.
The council reviewed its Statement of Community Involvement in 2016 and adopted the current revised version in April 2016.
Since the approval of the Statement of Community Involvement in April 2016 the council has amended the means by which it consults on, and publicises, applications for planning permission, listed building consent, etc. From April 2017 publicity will be solely by site notice and, when applicable, press notices. For further information please see the having your say document which sets out the current notification procedures.
The Statement of Community Involvement will be amended in due course to reflect the current means of publicising applications.
