Here is some useful information to help get you settled in.

You need to register for Council Tax at your new property. To do this, please complete our change of address form and give us as much detail as possible regarding your move. If your move is more than a month away, please contact us nearer the date as we are unable to take the details that far in advance.

You may be entitled to a reduction or exemption on your Council Tax. To find out about these or to apply for them, please visit our discounts and exemptions page which gives you full details.

Discounts and exemptions

It is a legal requirement to be registered at your main residence for the Electoral Register. You can complete the registration online, all you will need is your national insurance number and date of birth. You will need to register before you can apply for either proxy or postal voting, see our electoral registration page for details or complete your registration online now.

If you need help with your rent or Council Tax, you can complete our Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support claim form online.

You may need to know about the parking in your local area. To find out if you fall within one of our residents parking zones, please check our parking permits and season tickets pages.

You can check your collection day easily online and also see which bins your property is entitled to. If you are missing a bin or recycling box please let us know.

Visit Tunbridge Wells

GO is a membership scheme for people living in the borough of Tunbridge Wells offering discounts at sport, recreational, leisure and cultural facilities provided by us and other participating organisations.

The scheme is aimed at people on low income who receive benefits or students who are 16+ in full time education. GO membership is free and valid for 12 months.
